Raymond Kenneth "Rusty/Ray" Guay, 65, of Hooksett, comfortably passed away at home surrounded by love on November 13, 2021.
Born the youngest of seven children and sole son of Raymond & Beatrice Guay on June 17, 1956 in Manchester, NH. Ray lived his life as a true New Englander and wasn't afraid to show it.
Naturally creative and hardworking, the allure of limitless challenges and an opportunity for an artistic outlet inspired a successful career as a land acquisition and developer.
A Jack of all trades and a master of most, Ray had many passions. On any given day you could find him setting a record on the golf course, teaching himself a new song on the guitar, sanding wood for his next masterpiece or "Gourmet Ray" in the kitchen whipping up a quick batch of his chowda for 60 people. All of this would have been meaningless for Ray if he could not share it with his most important passion, his family.
Thirteen years ago fate introduced Ray to his soul mate, Joyce. Together Ray and Joyce have shared countless adventures. From convoying across the country in their motor home with their fur-babies (Stella, Gus and Gabby), to dominating a corn hole tournament in the backyard. It didn't matter what they were doing, as long as they were together. But nothing brought a bigger smile to Ray's face or triggered that silly high pitched giggle than having all seven of his children in one place. The sounds of his growing family sharing stories, laughing loudly and making memories were the most beautiful chords to this musician.
With hearts full of beautiful-sadness, we celebrate the life of the beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend, Raymond Kenneth Guay. Holding up a Mai Tai or a White Russian, cheers to this wanna be rebel watching over us: We love you and Let's Go Brandon.
