It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond A. Labore announce his passing on October 20, 2021 after a long period of declining health. He was 93 years of age.
Ray was born in Manchester, NH on April 6, 1928, the son of Walter J. and Mary (Tkacz) Labore. He worked at J.F. McElwain for over 40 years, retired and then wanting to remain active, went on to work at St. Anselm College.
He was a loving, devoted husband to his wife Muriel. They enjoyed 73 years of marriage spending their leisure time square dancing and traveling the world. He loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren and was especially fond of his great grandchildren. There was never a crying baby that “Grandpa” could not soothe. An avid sports fan, Ray was an accomplished baseball player during his younger years. He served as a youth league coach for many years.
Ray was a quiet, humble man of great faith, who lived a life of gratitude and appreciation. His advice for a happy life was to look for the good in everyone and everything.
He is survived by his son Raymond and wife Dr. Nancy Labore, son Mark and wife, Denise Labore. He was blessed with three grandsons Matthew, Craig and Jason and three great grandchildren Khale, Jacob and Madelyn. Ray was predeceased by his brother Walter and step brothers James and Richard Quinn.
Ray’s guardian angel was very important to him. He often attributed his blessings to his angel. May his angel welcome and remain with him.
