Raymond Provencher

Raymond Roger Provencher, 73, of Manchester, NH, died on May 25, 2024 at his home after a lengthy illness. 

He was born on January 6, 1951 to George and Blanche (Pepin) Provencher. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester, working at Layton Machinery, Swanson Dyes, and the Derryfield School before retiring.

He was the biggest New York Giants fan, never missing a game, travelling across the country to watch his team play, and even winning a Giants trivia contest in New York. In addition to following his Giants, he loved spending time with his family, working out at the YMCA, watching sports, and going to the beach. His last wish was for his loved ones not to be sad, but to remember all of the good times that he had with them.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Ronald “Rocky” Provencher, and a niece, Sarah Duval Bolton. He is survived by his brothers, Philip Provencher, George Provencher and his wife, Terri, Richard Provencher and his wife, Darlene, all of Manchester, Robert Provencher and his wife Catherine, of Merrimack, William Provencher and his wife, Karen Gallagher, of Pembroke; his sisters, Irene Delude of Goffstown, Louise Duval of Bedford, Annette Lamy and her husband, Thomas, Constance Gagnon and her husband, Marcel, all of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be on Friday May 31st from 9 am to 11 am at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, located at 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH 03104 with a memorial service to follow at 11 am. A graveside committal service will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Goffstown, NH.
