Raymond J. Sourdif Jr. passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, in Manchester, NH with the love of his life, Judith, by his side. Ray was born in Manchester, NH on November 3, 1944, the son of Raymond J. Sourdif Sr. and Ruth (Whidden) Sourdif. Ray grew up in Manchester and attended the Catholic schools until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962. Ray was known for his compassion for humanity and his sense of humor. Ray made it a life mission to love his family, unconditionally. He took great pride in being the best Son, the best Husband, the best Dad and the best Pa. He loved to make people laugh… even if it was at his own expense.

Ray’s professional life started in local banking all while forging his way through his education and achieving his master’s degree in human resource management. He worked as the Director of Personnel at the Arwood Corp. in Northfield, NH for 28 years. He retired from the State of NH (Bureau of Training and Education) as an associate professor. He also worked as an associate professor within the NH adult education system teaching night classes. His practical sense for HR and leadership served as great mentorship for countless leaders statewide.

Ray and his wife, Judith (Brodeur) Sourdif had three beautiful children and six amazing grandchildren. Their son, Timothy Sourdif (late wife Cathy), daughter Carolyn O’Neal (husband Alan) and daughter Tarra LaChapelle (husband Kevin). Grandchildren, Emmit Sourdif (fiancé Lily Hunt), Tess Sourdif (Owen McCabe), Bryson LaChapelle (fiancé Emily Ricard), Anna Sourdif, Kegan LaChapelle (Melany Rodriguez), and Harrison O’Neal.

Services for Raymond will be held at his final resting place, the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen, NH on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00pm with full military honors.
