Raymond H. Staples (Ray), 80, of Concord, NH died Wednesday, January 11, 2023, following a lengthy battle with dementia.
Ray was born in Cranston, RI September 30, 1942, and was raised in Keene, NH. He was a career electrician and the owner of Staples Electric, Inc.
Ray was a passionate follower of NASCAR and a huge fan of Jeff Gordon. He loved to travel, visiting many different racetracks around the country, and making numerous trips to Las Vegas. He enjoyed playing pool, spending time with friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 613 and the American Legion post 31 in Penacook, and he could often be found out riding his trike. But above all, Ray cared most about his family. Poolside barbecues and frequent family get togethers made Ray happier than anything else in the world.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Cheryl Ann (Coe) Staples; his daughter, Crystal Leigh Staples of Concord and her daughter Rayann-Leigh Staples, who was adored by her Papa; his daughter, Debra Staples of Franklin; his sons, Randall Staples of Concord, and Rick Staples of Franklin; 7 additional grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and cherished friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Brookhaven Hospice for the comforting and compassionate care they provided during Ray’s final days.
