Raymond Michael Welch

Raymond M. Welch, 81, died on May 10, 2018 after a long illness in Hernando, Florida. He was born in Manchester, NH on March 2, 1937, to Raymond and Della (Hastings) Welch.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.
He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 131 for 56 years where he worked as a pipefitter and later served as a business manager.
After retirement, he spent time in Florida and at Hampton Beach. He always enjoyed a project, never too big or small. He also did a great deal of volunteer work.
His family includes; his loving wife, Anna (Carey); brother, Donald Welch of Hampton, NH; sister, Maureen Steele, of Manchester, NH; sons, Michael Welch of Fulton, NY; and Jeffrey Welch of Dunbarton, NH; daughters, Pam Fleming of Deering, NH; and Kristen Welch of Manchester, NH; five grandchildren, two stepdaughters, Stasia Shimkus, of Norton, MA; Kristina Beetz of Omaha, Nebraska and four step grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon.
