Raymond J. Wike, 79, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2001, after suffering a long illness. He was born in Manchester on November 23, 1921, the son of Harry and Goldie Wike. He was a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, living first in Manchester, then in Hooksett for the last 46 years. During W.W.II he served in the U.S. Navy. After the war he worked as a truck driver for H.P. Welch and Maislen. An avid sportsman, gardener, carpenter, and CB radio operator, he was known to his CB buddies by the handle ''Buck Fever''. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was predeceased by a son, William Wike Family members include his wife, Teresa Marion (Shelizo) Wike; four sons, John Wike of Portsmouth, Steven Wike of California, Douglas Wike of Hooksett and Craig Wike of Manchester; and a grandson, Kalvin. There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
