Real E. Bergeron, 84, passed away on June 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 4, 1941, to Jeannette (Mason) Bergeron and Eugene J. Bergeron. He spent his childhood in Hooksett, NH, where he formed the early roots of the values and work ethic that shaped his life.
He was educated in Hooksett, attending Martins Corner Elementary School and Hooksett Village School before and West High School in Manchester, NH. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961, stationed in Captieux, France. On December 23, 1964, he married Pauline (Dube) Bergeron, and together they made their home in Manchester, NH, where they built a life rooted in family, community, and enduring devotion.
Dedicated employee with 43 years of continuous service at Associated Grocers, contributing in multiple roles, until his retirement in 2006.
Real found joy in 10‑pin bowling and spending many evenings at local lanes with friends and family. A devoted Yankees fan, he rarely missed a game and loved talking baseball with anyone who would listen. His home and car were often filled with the sounds of classic country music, especially the timeless voices of the artists he grew up with. He was also an enthusiastic follower of NASCAR, cheering on his favorite drivers.
He is predeceased by his brothers Robert & Roger Bergeron, and his sister Doris (Bergeron) Grant
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa St. Jean and her husband, Marc St. Jean, along with their family: grandsons, Tyler St. Jean and Jacob St. Jean, and daughters‑in‑law, Taylor St. Jean and Samantha St. Jean. He is also survived by his daughter, Melissa Lara and her husband, Orlando Lara, and grandsons, Aulbrey and Treagan Desrameaux. He leaves behind his sister, Lucille Furgal and her husband, Robert Furgal, as well as his sister‑in‑law, Carol Dube. He was further blessed with grandchildren, Everly and Drew Leduc.
SERVICES: A service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, 10 a.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 110 D.W. Highway, in Boscawen, NH.
