Real Rene, 82, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving children.
Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Hormidas and Marie Anna (Champaign) Rene. Raised and educated in Manchester, he had been employed as a press operator at International Paper, manufacturing boxes for 27 years prior to retirement.
A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Real's family was paramount in his life. Real was a humble man who loved playing horseshoes and fishing. In his younger years, Real enjoyed playing softball with his many dear friends. Real will be best remembered for his dedication to family and sense of humor.
Real is survived by his two sons, Mark Rene of Bedford and Steven Rene of Bath, MI; two daughters, Robin Proulx of Manchester and Kelly Rene of Northfield; ten grandchildren; brother, Richard P. Rene; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Real was predeceased by his wife, Laurette (Gervais) Rene; son-in-law, Roland Proulx, and ten siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Friday, April 8, from 4:00 to 6:30P.M. Followed by a Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 6:30P.M.
