Rebecca "Becky" M. Chase, age 77 passed away Tuesday Sept.4, 2012 at Pine Heights.
She was born in Morrisville, VT May 11, 1935 the daughter of Solon and Virginia (Warren) Arbuckle.
She received her early education in Stowe Elementary and Hartford Ct. Schools. She graduated from Branford CT High School in 1952. Rebecca was married to Harry Chase in 1978, he predeceased her in 1982. Besides being a homemaker and raising her children Rebecca worked as a Nurse's Aide and as a store clerk at various stores in the Brattleboro area.
She is survived by her two sons, David Shaw of Winchester, NH Kevin Shaw of Brattleboro, one daughter, Elizabeth Powers of Old Saybrook, CT; one brother, Robert Arbuckle of Chester and one sister, Sandra Handy of Guilford
Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by her son, Bruce Shaw.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday Sept. 8, 2012 at 9:30 AM at the Agape Christian Fellowship Church, 30 Canal St. Brattleboro. Graveside committal services and interment will follow at 11:00 AM at the Meeting House Hill Cemetery, Orchard St. Brattleboro.
