Rebecca J. (Pray) Proulx, 73, of 60 Violet Street, Manchester, died March 16, 2001 at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Dover on November 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Stanley and Vivian (Bradbury) Pray and had been a Manchester resident for the past 49 years. She was a graduate of the Wentworth Douglas Hospital School of Nursing. She was an Registered Nurse at Catholic Medical Center where she had worked for over twenty years. She enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was predeceased by a son, Denis Proulx who died in 1970. Family members include her husband of 48 years, Bertrand Proulx. Three sons, Barry Proulx of Manchester, Peter Proulx and Paul Proulx, both of Weare; five grandchildren; three sister, Elizabeth Boulanger, Doris Colprit and Alice Purington; all of Dover; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Monday morning from 9 to 11 AM. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
