As part of the Master's plan, Regent P. "Reggie" Lachance, 69, of Manchester, passed away at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack on the evening of January 24, 2013 and joined his Heavenly Father for eternal rest.
He was born in Lac Megantic, PQ Canada on September 25, 1943, the son of Alexander and Albertine (Vallee) Lachance. Reggie worked in the shoe business for many years for Ripley Industries and was later employed as President of LRC Fire Safety, a company owned by his daughter Renee and his dear friend Lloyd Chipman. He enjoyed being with his family, playing golf, watching Bruins hockey, cooking, long scenic drives and spending time with his faithful dog, Maggie. Reggie's faith was strong and he would often be found at the Precious Blood Monastery lighting candles for all those he cared for so deeply. He was a member of the League of 1,000 Men and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Catherine Parish. Reggie was an inspiration to everyone he met encouraging them to be kind and good to others. He was a great asset to Teen Challenge of New England dedicating much time and effort to this program. Reggie was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Love and joy fill all of our hearts with memories and blessings of having had the honor to know such a genuine and kind hearted man! The family extends their gratitude to Community Hospice House in Merrimack for their care and support as Reggie entered eternal life with his family by his side.
