Regina E. Carlise, 86, died peacefully in her sleep, with her stuffed dog in her arms at Grace Cottage Hospital. Jean was married 63 years to the love of her life, Robert Carlise, she was the mother of 11 children, grandmother of 23, great-grandmother of 13 and great-great grandmother of one.
She was a wife and mother, she enjoyed roller skating, roses, reading, and crocheting. As the use of her hands slowed, she completed her goal of crocheting a blanket for each of her children. She was a devote catholic and she look forward to helping in her church tag sale for Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church every year. She will be remembered for her quiet caring love of all who came in to her life, and her passion of dogs, all breeds, all sizes. Her final wishes were to donate all her blankets to keep the shelter dogs warm.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Robert L Carlise. She is survived by her eleven children, Kathy Lafkas of Shingletown, CA, David Carlise of Townshend VT, Christine Moffett of Grand Forks ND, Teresa Calhoun of Idaho Springs, CO, Bobbie Jean Spiewak of Ontario, CA, Sanford Carlise of Broad Brook CT, James Carlise of San Clemente, CA, Patricia Romalo of Weston, VT, Regina Carlise of Hinsdale, NH, Darleen David of Murrieta, CA, Mari Carlise of San Clemente, CA.
Family and Friends are invited to a time of Visitation on be held Friday October 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ker- Westerlund Funeral Home 57 High Street ,Brattleboro, VT 05301 A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for both she, and her husband Robert, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windham County Humane Society 916 West River Road, PO Box 397 Brattleboro, VT 05302
