Mrs. Regina C. (LaRoe) Kean, 101, of Manchester, died February 17, 2007 at Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester. Born on February 27, 1906 in Belmont, NH the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Fortin) LaRoe. She was educated in the Hillsborough grammar and high schools. She was a resident of Manchester for the 82 years. She graduated as a registered nurse with the first class at Lucy Hastings Hospital She had worked as a nurse at Balch Hospital, where she especially enjoyed working in the operating room. After she married, she worked as a salesperson for Savage Brothers and later as an assistant supervisor at Manchester Knitted Fashions. After raising her family, she worked at the College Shop in Manchester until it closure in 1978. She then went to work for Charlottes dress shop where she worked until her early 80s. She was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine Church. Mrs. Kean is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Moquin of Manchester, grandson and great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Kean who died in 1975. In Her life: She is survived by her grandson, Joseph Moquin of East Candia and her great granddaughter, Nicole Moquin of Manchester. There are no Calling Hours. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00AM at St. Catherine Church, Manchester. Private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. The Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester is in charge of the arrangements.
