It is with great sadness that the family of Rene R. Charpentier, 67 of Hooksett, announces his passing on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rene was born on June 3, 1951, in Manchester, NH the son of the late Roland and Theresa
(Cote Lamarche) Charpentier. He grew up in Manchester and attended local schools. Rene was a lifelong resident of Manchester only moving to Hooksett 4 years ago.
He was a veteran and served in the Army National Guard.
Prior to his retirement, Rene was employed as a heavy equipment operator and worked at Elliot Hospital.
Rene was past president of Central Little League and served on the Board of Directors for Berry Hill Condo Association.
Members of his family include; his devoted wife of 49 years, Rita (Cassidy) Charpentier, of Hooksett, NH; one son, Rene R. Charpentier, Jr. and his wife Suzie, of Deerfield, NH; a daughter, Robbin R. Cavanaugh and her husband Patrick, of Manchester; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Gionet, Leigha Charpentier, Rebekah Charpentier, Jimmy Cavanaugh; two brothers, Ronald Charpentier, of Dallas, Georgia; Richard Charpentier of New Boston, NH; several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 2:00 â 4:00 pm and 6:00 â 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM. Committal prayers and entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association, The American Cancer Society or Home, Health & Hospice Care, in memory of Mr. Charpentier.
