Rene R. Lapierre, 90, of Manchester, passed away at Catholic Medical Center on July 7, 2016.
He was born in Disraeli, PQ Canada on May 10, 1926, the son of Emile and Anna (Cote) Lapierre and had been NH resident since 1969. He had worked for Baretto Granite in Milford as a welder for 22 years until his retirement. He was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and member of the League of Sacred Heart. He was also a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. He was predeceased by a son, Maurice in 1965.
Family members include his wife of 70 years, Jeannine (Matteau) Lapierre; three sons, Leonild Lapierre and his wife Deborah of Weare, Renald Lapierre and his wife Ann of CA, and Gilles Lapierre of Manchester; four daughters, Therese Chouinard and her husband Camille of TN, Lise Lapierre of Manchester, Ginette Nadeau and her husband Laurent of FL, and Johanne Quinlivan and her husband Patrick of NY; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in Ste.
