LITTLETON, NH Richard C. Anderson, age 71, a U. S. Navy Veteran, passed away on Saturday, November 4th at the Littleton Regional Hospital.
Richard was born on January 17, 1935, a son to George H. and Jennie (Kerr) Anderson, in Boston, MA. He graduated from Somerville High School and attended Bentley College.
Richard enlisted in the U. S. Army on November 16, 1955 and served with the VU-2 Squadron in the Korean War. He was employed by the U. S. Government for many years and moved to Littleton in 1994 upon his retirement.
Surviving family members include his sister, Nancy MacKinnon of Billerica, MA; a daughter, Debbie Eckles of Clermont, FL; three step-children, Donna Hartman of Littleton, NH, Cheryl Stevenson of Haverhill, MA, and William Anderson of Lawrence, MA; and two grandchildren, Laura Hartman and Thomas James Stevenson.
SERVICES The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home Littleton Chapel, 101 Union Street. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Edward E. Lopeman officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the V.F.W. Howard Shawney Post #816.
