Richard Raymon Davis
Richard R. Davis passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence in Brattleboro, VT. He was born in Brattleboro on December 8, 1936; the son of the late Raymon and Mary (Phillips) Davis.
Mr. Davis graduated from Brattleboro High School, class of 1956. He served in the U. S. Air Force. On August 18, 1969 he married Elaine Collins. Richard was employed as a firefighter for the Town of Brattleboro. He also worked at VT National Bank, Chittenden Bank and finally for Green Mountain Messenger.
He is predeceased by a brother, Phillip Davis and a sister, Alice Juscen.
Richard survived by his wife, Elaine Davis of Brattleboro; a daughter, Jennifer Davis of Brattleboro; a son, Marc Stephens of S. Newfane; a brother, Robert Davis of Cleveland, GA; two sisters, Elizabeth Davis and Rama Lynch both of W. Dummerston; a granddaughter, Shawnna Davis , who helped care for Richard; as well as four granddaughters.
Per Mr. Davis's request, there will be no services. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, Brattleboro, VT is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Turtle Rescue of Long Island, PO Box 359, Centereach, NY 11720.
