Richard L. Emond 69 years old, had tested positive for Covid19 and passed peacefully in his sleep on May 31st, 2020 at Hillsborough county Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH.
He was born on August 14th 1950 in Biddeford, ME to Paul Emond and Joanne (Chandler) Emond. He moved to Lawrence, MA as a child and attended Lawrence schools. He was affectionately known as Dickie to all those who knew and loved him. He was a fence installer for many years until he became a bar manager in Derry NH. It was there where he met many people and made many new friends. He was easily liked with a smart sense of humor and those smiling Caribbean blue eyes. He was often called Magnum PI because of his likeness to Tom Sellek in that role. Dicky enjoyed soaking up the sun especially at the beach but most of all he looked forward to spending time with his daughter Leah. He loved his children dearly.
Richard was predeceased by his brother Raymond P. Emond. He is survived by his sister Marie (Emond) MacDonald of Saco, ME; his daughter Leah A. Emond and her three step-daughters Kiara, Arelis and Angelica of Manchester, NH; and his son Nicholas R. Emond of Methuen, MA. He also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be no immediate services open to the public due to pandemic restrictions. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
