Richard J. Farnsworth, 56, of 25 Grove Street, Leominster, MA, died July 25, 2007 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Manchester. He was born in Manchester on April 28, 1951, the son of William J. and Florence T. (St. Onge) Farnsworth and had been a resident of the city for most of his life before moving to Leominster two years ago. He had been employed by the City of Manchester Sanitation Department. He was an Army Paratrooper during the Vietnam War. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to read, play bingo, and cheer on the Red Sox. He also loved animals, especially dogs. Family members include his brother, Guy Farnsworth of Goffstown; two sisters, Ann Mailhot of Manchester and Diane Tremblay of Hooksett; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Urn burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
