Richard F. St. Gelais, 62, of Medford Farms, Goffstown, died July 18, 2004, at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester, NH on May 16, 1942, the son of Florien and Cecile (Lafleur) St. Gelais and had been a lifelong resident of this area. Richard belonged to the Odd Fellows and was a volunteer of the Crispin House in Goffstown and made Volunteer of the Year in 2003 for that organization. He was very active with the Goffstown non-smoking Coalition and belonged to the S.E.R.T. Organization of Goffstown. He loved woodcarving and painting. Family members include his wife of 36 years, Nora (Gonthier) St. Gelais of Goffstown, three sons; Mark St. Gelais of Concord, NH, Matthew St. Gelais of Manchester and Richard St. Gelais of Goffstown, five grandchildren, two brothers; Robert St. Gelais of Bedford and Scott St. Gelais of Phoenix, Arizona, a sister, Andrea Stevenson of Phoenix, Arizona, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HIS LIFE he loved his grandchildren. He always had a smile and was ready to anyone a helping hand. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may attend his memorial service at St. Matthew Episcopal Church in Goffstown on Thursday morning at 11:30. Donations may be made in his memory to the Northeast Rehabilitation Center, 99 Bridge Street, Pelham, NH. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
