Manchester â Richard Maurice Guillemette, 79 died October 20, 2104 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
He was born on April 16, 1935 in Manchester the son of the late Francois and Jeanne (Cloutier) Guillemette. He attended Sacred Heart Grammar School in Manchester and graduated from Ste. Marie's High School Class of 1954. Richard received his Master of Business Administration from New Hampshire College.
Richard served in the US Army.
He worked at Coca-Cola, Genest Bakery, Sanders and NH Insurance. Later he worked at 1st Data Corporation and Fidelity. Richard was also an adjunct professor at NH College (SNHU).
He was active with the boy scouts having been a scoutmaster of Moore Center Scout Troop 399 and committee member of Boy Scout Troop 106. Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He also volunteered monthly at New Horizons for New Hampshire.
He was a communicant of St. Therese Church in Manchester for 43 years and was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Auburn for the past 10 years. He was a man of strong faith and service.
Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving family members include his wife of 54 years, whom he married on October 1, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church, Lise (Gauthier) Guillemette of Manchester, 3 sons, Marc Guillemette and his wife Leza of Watertown, MA, Dr. Roger Guillemette and his wife Kathleen of St. Louis, MO and Robert Guillmette and his wife Cameo of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Denise Mainusch and her husband Joseph of Boscawen, NH; 5 grandchildren, Maddie, Ellie, Lucy and Sam Guillemette and Elisabeth Mainusch; brother, Conrad Guillemette of Manchester, sister, Monique St. Germain of Manchester, his many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his sister, Claudette Merrill.
Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Thursday from 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn. Committal Prayers will follow in the mausoleum chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
