Richard A. Haycook, 79, of Chester, NH died on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Parkland Medical Center, in Derry, NH.
Mr. Haycook was born on October 27, 1945, in Morristown, NJ, the son of the late, Ellsworth A. and Dorothy P. (Allen) Haycook.
Mr. Haycook was a retired veteran and served as Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the VFW, Post 11254, in Hampstead, NH.
He enjoyed collecting and documenting family history. He loved working at the Chester Library for the last several years.
Members of his family include; his wife, Karen G. (English) Haycook, of Chester, NH; two sons, Richard F. and his wife, Carrie and Charlie Haycook, two daughters, Arianna G. Kingston, and her husband, Jason and Dorothy Shackelford, and her husband, Austin, grandchildren, Sam and Danny Shackelford and Ritchie, Joshua, Anna Marie Haycook, and a sister, Dorothy A. Gutwen. He was predeceased by his brother, David E. Haycook,
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. Military honors with interment will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, in Boscawen, NH at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW, Post 11254, in Hampstead, NH, in memory of Mr. Haycook.
