Richard J. Kelley

RICHARD J. KELLEY MANCHESTER - Richard J. Kelley, 78, passed away suddenly, May 10, 2007, at Community Hospice House, in Merrimack. He was born February 14, 1929, in Alabama, the son of the late Andrew G. and Mary J. (Flournory) Kelley. Richard was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed family time. He was an avid gardener, specializing in antique vegetables and fruits. He had a passion for tinkering and restoring most anything mechanical. Richard retired in 1991 after 13 years with Manchester Housing Authority and was an US Army Veteran having served in Germany during the Korean War. He was deeply loved and his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Richard is survived by his wife and love of his life of 54 years, Shirley (Rayle) Kelley, two sons, Kim and Richard of California; two daughters, Mitzie Kelley of California, Debra Holbrook of Manchester; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five brothers, Bruce, Gordon, and Cecil of Georgia; James of Florida; Leon of South Carolina; one sister, Nina Allen of Alabama; several nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service was celebrated at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester.
