RICHARD J. KURISKO Former Owner - Diver’s Den Dive Shop Scuba Instructor Richard “Dick” J. Kurisko, 70, of Manchester, NH, died September 20, 2006, at Elliot Hospital, in Manchester. Mr. Kurisko was born on September 14, 1936, in Berlin, NH, the son of the late John and Lucy (Belanger) Kurisko. He was a resident of Manchester for the past 40 years. Prior to this he resided in Claremont for 20 years. He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as a glazier with United Glass of Boston, Massachusetts. During his early years, he became involved in scuba diving. This was his passion. In 1967 his dream came true and he founded Diver’s Den Dive Shop in the basement of his home. As the business grew, he moved it to its current location on Mammoth Road, in Manchester. He retired in 2002, selling the business to his longtime friend, Judy Kurisko. Mr. Kurisko was the founder and formed United Divers of NH Scuba Club. Members of his family include, his wife, Sandra (Beaudette) Kurisko, of Manchester, 1 daughter, Cynthia A. Kurisko, of Hooksett, 2 step sons, Clarence Beaudette, Jr., and Russell Beaudette, both of Raymond, NH; 2 step daughters, Shelley Beaudette, of Manchester, Naomie Emmett, of Hudson, NH; 2 sisters, Dorothy Beauclair, of Manchester, Rita Holloway, of Delaware, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. IN HIS LIFE: Other family members include; his grandson, Casey A. Lewis, of Hooksett, 6 step grandchildren, Jordan, Brittany, Katelynn, Christopher, Cody, and Tyler. Calling hours will be Saturday, from 4 – 8 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will be held, Sunday, in the funeral home at 10 A.M. The Reverend Carol Mento, UCC Minister and Chaplain at Elliot Hospital, will officiate the service. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The American Lung Association, 9 Cedarwood Drive, Unit #12, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mr. Kurisko. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium.
