Richard “Dickie” Lefebvre, 75, of Weare, formerly of Hooksett and Manchester, passed away on October 6, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Born on July 24, 1948 in Manchester to the late Roger and Laurette (Boisvert) Lefebvre. He graduated from NH Vocational Technical School in 1968 and specialized in Electrical. To say that Dick was a master electrician, would be an understatement. The pride that he took in his craft and work was unmatched. His neatness, organization, and amazing skill for snaking a wire was recognized by inspectors and other electricians alike.
In earlier years, Dick loved to fish. Whether it be ice fishing in the winter on Lake Winnipesaukee or summer fishing on Lake Massabesic, he never missed an opportunity. In the 70s, an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, Dick was proud to say that he participated in the helmet protest rides, leading to the no-helmet laws in New Hampshire. In his later years, Dick played in billiard leagues across the state. He frequented pool halls in Manchester and around the city, winning a few championships along the way. Dick enjoyed life to the fullest he could have.
Dick is survived by his brother Robert T. Lefebvre and his wife Cecile of Manchester; his nephew and Godson Kevin Lefebvre and his wife Cecile of Weare; nieces, Cara Anam and her husband Sayeed of Austin, TX, and Donna Demanche and her husband Dave of Manchester; his step daughter Jenny Cates and her partner Natalie Lampron; and several great nieces and nephews.
