Richard J. L'Heureux, 88, of Manchester, NH passed away at home with loved ones by his side on January 20, 2021. Born in Goffstown on April 5, 1932, he was one of eight children to the late Arthur and Arzilie (Daigle) L'Hereux.
In his younger years, Richard served in the United States Marines and later worked in sales. Richard was known as a caring, loving, gentle and kind person. He loved to volunteer and help others; over the years, he was volunteered to help the elderly at Elliot Hospital, Hillsborough County Nursing Home and Manchester VNA, and even volunteered as a court-appointed advocate for children with CASA. He was a loving brother and uncle, and when he wasn't volunteering, he enjoyed playing cards and performing magic tricks for family and friends, earning him the nickname "Tricky Dicky".
Richard was predeceased by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his brother-in-law and friend, Marcel Huppe, his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Richard's services will be held on Tuesday, January 26th with visitation from 4-6 and a funeral service at 6pm, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Private burial will be at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, Mission Hills, CA.
