Richard “Rick” MacGuire, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 17, 1951, Rick lived a life marked by love, generosity, and a deep commitment to family and community.
Rick grew up in Merrimack, New Hampshire, where he began forming the strong values of kindness, integrity, and hard work that would define his life. He later attended Plymouth State College, where he met the love of his life, Karen MacGuire (née Danielson). Their relationship, rooted in deep friendship and shared purpose, blossomed into a marriage that spanned more than five decades. In March of this year, Rick and Karen joyfully celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
A man who always saw the best in others, Rick had a natural gift for making people feel seen, appreciated, and loved. His kind words, warm smile, and thoughtful gestures made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Rick was the proud founder of Profile Inspection Services, a successful business he built with vision, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to quality. He earned the respect of his colleagues, clients, and community through his honesty and leadership.
He was a devoted father to Mary Noce and her husband Todd, Jamus MacGuire and his wife Julie, and Molly MacGuire. Rick’s greatest joy in life was his role as “Papa” to his five grandchildren: Ava, Jack, and Cole Noce, and Ella and Clara MacGuire. He was their biggest fan—always excited to attend their games, performances, and special events, cheering them on with pride and delight. His steady presence and unconditional support meant the world to them.
Rick loved spending time on the golf course, not only for the game itself but for the camaraderie he shared with friends during each round. In later years, he took on the challenge of distance running, proudly completing two marathons. A passionate Boston sports fan, he rarely missed a game and could talk Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and Patriots with anyone who would listen.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Karen, his children and grandchildren, and his brother Gary MacGuire. He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth, his father, Ralph, and his sister, Barbara.
Rick’s legacy is one of love, kindness, humility, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
