Richard A. Mayo, 85, died on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his home in Boscawen. He was born on October 8, 1932 in Concord, son of the late Albert E. and Evelyn (Stone) Mayo.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia (LaPlante) Mayo, and the widower of the late Carol (Miner) Mayo who passed in 1985.
Richard worked many years as a line supervisor for Concord Electric prior to his retirement.
In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, and had a special passion for fishing and hunting.
Along with his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela LaPlante and husband Robert of Maple Valley, WA , and Deborah Parker and husband Bradley of Franklin; five grandchildren, Jennifer LaPlante, Kimberly Samet, Megan LaPlante, Justin Hinds, and Michael Mayo; one great-grandchild, Hazel LaPlante-Stoehr; a brother, Robert Mayo of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a sister, Janet Foley of Contoocook.
SERVICES: A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10am to 11am at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 172 King Street, Boscawen. A Memorial Service will immediately follow the gathering, 11am, at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at Calvary Cemetery in Penacook.
