RICHARD ALLEN ROBITAILLE
MANCHESTER â Richard Allen Robitaille, died on Saturday, January 5, at the Ridgewood Center, in Bedford, NH.
Mr. Robitaille was born on January 16, 1937 in the city of Manchester where he grew up, the son of the late Joseph and Bernice Robitaille.
Mr. Robitaille was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force from 1954 â 1957.
He was employed for 15 years at a shoe factory before becoming a printing press operator for Moore Business Forms for 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Robitaille was an avid sports enthusiast â having himself played softball for many years recreationally and for the U.S. Air Force. He loved horseracing, cribbage, pool and he was a long-time member of the DAV.
Members of his family include; his two sons, Rick Robitaille, of Manchester; BJ Byers, of NC; three daughters, Tricia Ayers, of Bedford, NH; Jill Fudala, of Pittsfield, NH; Cheryl Byers, of Merrimack, NH; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Sonny Joe Robitaille, of NC; Donald Robitaille, of TX; Charles Robitaille, of Bedford; four sisters, Claudia Reaves, of Meredith, NH; Nancy Reed, of Manchester; Sandra Philbrook, also of Manchester; Mary Robitaille of Manchester, nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013, from 10:00 AM â 11:00 AM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway in Boscawen, at 1:30 PM.
