Richard E. Rosien, Sr., 87, formerly of 123 Pleasant Street, died April 25, 2007 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.

He was born in New Haven, CT on October 29, 1919, the son of Victor E. and Jane (Kineally) Rosien and had lived 30 years in Charlestown, NH before moving to Manchester last year. He was a World War II Army Veteran where he fought in Panama. He later served during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Yale University Class of 1941 with a degree in engineering. He owned and operated General Castings Corporation in Charlestown for fifteen years until his retirement. Prior to that, he worked for Eastern Malleable Iron Company in CT. He was the widow of Arlene (Nolle) Rosien who died in 2000.

Family members include his son, Richard E. Rosien, Jr., of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
