Richard H. Simard, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Bedford Hills Center in Bedford, NH. Born August 21, 1935 in Nashua, NH, he was a son of the late Joseph and Alexina (Gagnon) Simard. He shared 17 years of marriage with his wife, Carol (Allison) (Tyler) Simard, who passed away in 2000.
Richard was the youngest of 13 children. He was raised in Nashua and attended local schools. He worked many years for a quarry and Brown Products Paper Plant. He also worked for the Nashua School System until his retirement.
Richard enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He loved going to the movies with his brothers, Eddie and Willy and always looked forward to trips to Foxwoods with his friends, Ronnie and Manny. He was also fond of playing cards and loved playing Bingo with Carol. An avid New England Sports fan, Richard always cheered on the local teams.
Richard is survived by his stepdaughters, Lisa Tyler and her husband Harry and Paula Prieur and her husband David; his stepson, Paul Tyler and his wife Aurea; his daughter-in-law, Pamela Signoretti and her husband Mike; his granddaughters, Amber and Ashley Tyler, Alicia Espinal and Alicia Egloff; his grandson, Nicholas Signoretti; as well as 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, Richard was predeceased by all of his siblings, his grandson, Jacob Egloff, and his goddaughter, Shannon Allison.
No formal services will be held at this time due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
