Born on September 20, 1948, Richard grew up on his family farm in Wallingford, CT, with his parents and five siblings. He was the youngest child of the late James and Mary Sivigny. Richard enjoyed outdoor activities, bowling, and spending time with his friends and family. He had several hobbies, but none brought him more joy than tinkering with classic automobiles. Affectionately known as "Siggy" to his crew, Richard retired as a Master Sergeant after a 33-year career. He was highly respected by his colleagues and peers as he was known for his dedicated leadership. As a veteran, Richard deeply loved his country and served in both the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.
Richard was a devoted husband and father, showing unconditional love and support to his family. He married Jean Sunderland, together they built a beautiful life, and were blessed with three sons. Settled in Somersworth, Richard was an active father who enjoyed coaching sports and outdoor activities such as boating, water skiing, and fishing. Family vacations to Squam Lake were always cherished, as he took great pride in creating wonderful memories for his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by four siblings: James Sivigny, Mary Carnot, Clara Isacco, and Kathy Ames.
