RICHARD H. SKOGLUND
MANCHESTER, NH – Richard H. Skoglund, 61, died on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at his residence in Manchester.
Born on February 13, 1950, in Manchester, NH, he was the son of Harold T. and Grace R. (O’Brien) Skoglund. He was raised in Merrimack and attended local schools. Mr. Skoglund was a resident of Merrimack, NH for most of his life. He also resided in Warner, NH for 20 years.
Mr. Skoglund was employed in maintenance building, and worked at St. Paul’s School, in Concord, NH for several years. Most recently, he was a care giver for his parents.
His hobbies and interests include; skiing, camping and fishing. He enjoyed being outdoors, and when he was able to, he enjoyed traveling with friends. He was a UNH Alumni and was active with his fraternity.
Members of his family in addition to his mother, Grace Skoglund, of Manchester; include; one son, Christopher R. Skoglund, of Bedford, NH; one niece, one nephew and many cousins.
IN HIS LIFE: Mr. Skoglund was predeceased by his sister, Beverley Cole.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Saturday, March 5, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bedford, NH.
