Richard D. Stratton

Richard D. Stratton, Sr., 64, of Manchester, died January 4, 2009 at the Laurel Center. He was born in Manchester on October 9, 1944, the son of Leon and Anne-Marie (Hebert) Stratton and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He loved watching sports especially football and NASCAR. He enjoyed playing poker and classic cars. Family members include a son, Richard D. Stratton, Jr., of Manchester; two daughters, Donna Bogle of GA and Kim Stratton of Manchester; six grandchildren; two brothers, Archie Stratton of Weare and Paul Stratton of Manchester; four sisters, Helen Villiard and Marcelle Belanger, both of Manchester, Claudette Kohler of ME and Claire Breton of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A graveside service is scheduled for later this spring in St. Augustin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commercial Drive, Unit 110, Bedford, NH 03110. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of local arrangements.
