Rita L. (Roy) Cote, age 93, formerly of Westford MA and Moriarty NM passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020 at the Hanover Hill Health Care Center, Manchester NH. She was the daughter of Alfred and Delia (Renaud) Roy.

Rita was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph G. Cote in 2009 and her much beloved son, William A. Cote in 2017.
Rita and Joseph met in 1948 while working at the Lowell MA mills. They married in September 1949. Rita and Joe lived in Westford MA until 1979 when they discovered they had a deep desire to move to the beautiful state of NM. There they enjoyed many years of happiness while working in Albuquerque and then retiring to Moriarty NM. Rita discovered a love for horses and enjoyed the peaceful life of living in the desert of NM.
Rita was a skilled seamstress and worked at Hathaway Shirts in Lowell MA and then at Pioneer Wear in Albuquerque NM. She loved reading and spent many quiet hours enjoying that passion.

When Joe passed in 2009, she moved from NM to Litchfield NH to live with her daughter, Patricia, and son-in-law, Mickey. With a decline in her health, she became a resident of Hanover Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester, NH.

Rita was also predeceased in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Cote. Several siblings have also passed; Cecile Rosseau, Paul Roy, Claire Landry, Lucille Riley, Theresa Crevier.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law of Litchfield NH, Patricia and Edwin (Mickey) Fraser; her grandsons, Raymond K. Fraser of Goffstown NH, Justin H. Cote and his wife Tanya of Shelley ID and great-grandchildren Joseph, Justin, Rosemary and Charlotte. Rita is also survived by brothers Richard Roy and Daniel Roy of FL and sister-in-law, Mae Roy of Quincy MA and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rita was a communicant of St. Kathryn Church, Hudson NH.

Rita's family extends their gratitude to the staff of Hanover Hill Health Care for the excellent care she received. Funeral services are private. Rita will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

She has joined her husband and son in everlasting peace.
