Rita D. Cote, 92, of Manchester, NH, passed away at Elliot Hospital on May 26, 2026. Born in Manchester on June 25, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Donat and Alice (Vincent) Carette. She shared nearly 62 years of marriage with her late husband, Leo A. Cote.

Rita was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She proudly served in the United States Navy following graduation from high school. A devoted homemaker, she cherished time spent with her husband, Leo, and their children, Mark and Nicole. She loved to exercise and stay active and participated in local bowling leagues when her children were young. Rita found great comfort in her Catholic faith and was a parishioner at St. Anthony Parish in Manchester.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Nicole Claypool and her husband Dale of Manchester; her grandson, Sean Claypool and his wife Edie of Pembroke; and a great-granddaughter, Lettie Claypool. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by all of her siblings.

Rita will be laid to rest in Mount Calvary Cemetery’s Mausoleum on Wednesday, June 3 at 10:30 AM, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH.
