Rita B. Lessard

Rita B. (Berube) (Lacroix) Lessard, 82, formerly of 84 Varney Street, died December 11, 2003 at Hillsboro County Nursing Home. She was born in Manchester on March 15, 1921, the daughter of Eli and Marie Ann (Lacroix) Berube and had been a resident of the city for all of her life. She was the widow of Lucien Lacroix who died in 1960. She had worked at Sweetheart Plastics for 12 years until her retirement. Prior to that, she had worked at Chicopee Mills. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine Perkins. Family members include four sons, Gerard Lacroix of Manchester, Lucien Lacroix of MA, William Lacroix of Candia and Rodolph Lacroix of Manchester; two daughters, Pauline Lacey of AZ and Louise Plantier of Auburn; 19 grandchildren and 47 great great grandchildren; a brother, Romeo Berube of CT; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
