Rita M. McCarthy

Rita M. McCarthy, 91, of Manchester, NH died on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Bedford, NH.
Mrs. McCarthy was born in Manchester on May 29, 1928, to Alfred & Albina (Dube) Chamberland.
She was employed by New England Telephone and worked as a secretary for 40 years. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Members of her family include; her husband Donald, predeceased in 1988 and by one daughter Donna who predeceased in 2019 and her son-in-law Ronald DiMambro. Two grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Kenneth Boufford of Dover, NH; Anthony DiMambro of Manchester, NH; four great grandchildren, Jacob & Jonathan Boufford and Heidi and Darla DiMambro. Other family members include one brother Donald Chamberland of Dover, NH; two sisters, Pauline Dumas of Bedford, NH; Jeanne Chamberland of Manchester and two predeceased brothers, Robert and Bertrand Chamberland, many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Merrimack Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054, in memory of Mrs. Rita McCarthy.
