Rita L. Morneau

Rita L. Morneau, 79, of Manchester died July 20, 2004 at Hanover Hill Health Care following a period of declining health. Mrs. Morneau was born on April 18, 1925 in Lowell, MA the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Cowette) Chateauneuf. She loved life and will be greatly missed by her many friends at Parker Varney Apartments where she resided until her recent illness. Rita enjoyed traveling with her friends and was a member of the Bedford Seniors. She was fond of animals and loved to sing. God and family were most important to her. Family members include; one son, Richard Morneau and his wife Phyllis, of West Hartford, CT and formerly of Manchester; two daughters, Denise Oliver of Gallup, New Mexico and Suzanne Pearson of Holly, Michigan; 16 grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Noel Morneau who died in 1971 and by three brothers and one sister. There will be a Memorial Reception on Saturday, July 24th from 10:00 until 11:00 AM with a Memorial Service 11:00 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.
