Rita Alma Newton

Rita Alma (Boulay) Newton, 69, of Littleton, died July 10, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Rita was born, the daughter of Peter and Alma (Desy) Boulay on February 17, 1941 in Littleton, where she spent her entire life. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She leaves behind, her husband of 52 years, Vaughn Mason Newton; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janis Newton; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Michael Boswell, Laura Alma and Dennis Bailey, and Ellen Newton; her brother and sister in law, Michael and Linda Boulay; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her step-mother, Elizabeth Benoit; and her step-brother, Robert Benoit. She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Boulay.

Services: Calling hours will be held from 6  8 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Keller & Pillsbury Funeral Homes. Catholic Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Marcel Martel officiating and interment to follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ammonoosuc Community Health Services or North Country Home Health. Arrangements and care have been entrusted to Keller & Pillsbury Funeral Homes.
