Rita A. Pinard, 96, of Manchester, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 30, 2023. She is the loving wife of the late Marcel Pinard with whom she would have shared 70 years of marriage.
Rita was born in Manchester but spent most of her childhood in Canada. She returned to Manchester in her early 20s, obtaining her business degree. Eventually she married the love of her life, Marcel in 1951.
In her early years, she worked at the mills in New Hampshire, dedicating herself to the bustling workforce. Later, she transitioned into a role equally demanding, becoming a homemaker. She loved to host and always welcomed anyone into her home. Rita’s work ethic and spirit soared beyond the confines of her home, leading her to becoming a valued member of the NH Inventors Association and a devout member of her church. Rita was a remarkable woman of intellect and faith, and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and innovation. She will be truly missed.
Rita is survived by her children, Daniel Pinard and his wife Barbara of Goffstown, Michael Pinard and his wife Jane of Manchester, Elaine Berube of Goffstown, and Louise Lavoie and her husband Brian of Manchester; her grandchildren, Devon Pinard, Jesse Pinard, David Labbe, and Gregory Berube; and one great grandchild Benjamin Berube. Also survived by her sister in law Priscilla Gauthier, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Marcel A. Pinard; siblings, Francois Gauthier and Lise Guilmette; and son in law Claude Berube.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5th from 10-11am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St, in Manchester. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00am in the church. Interment in the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Manchester. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
