Rita A. Plourde

Rita A. Plourde, 74, of Manchester died June 16, 2005 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home following a period of declining health. Mrs. Plourde was born on December 12, 1930 in Goffstown the daughter of the late William and Florence (Gill) Goudreau. Rita had been a lifelong resident of Manchester. She was quite active in the community, volunteering at the Elmwood Garden Community Center and the Burns High-rise, where she had previously resided. She enjoyed playing Bingo and playing cards with her family and friends. Mrs. Plourde was also parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. She will be remembered as a loving homemaker, a kind and thoughtful mother of seven and devoted grandmother. She was a selfless woman who gave to others who went without. Family members include; two sons, Robert Plourde of Concord and Leo Plourde of Manchester; two daughters, Louise Plourde of Manchester and Carol Luksza of Chichester; 12 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Plourde was predeceased by her husband, Henry Plourde and by a son, Paul Plourde, and two daughters, Linda (Mosier) Plourde and Carol Ann Plourde. There will be a Memorial Reception on Monday, June 20th from 12:00 until 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
