MANCHESTER â Rita Marie (Hebert) Taillon passed from this life and into the arms of her Lord on Dec. 31, 2020, at the age of 100 years. She died peacefully at her home in the care of her loving daughters.
Born in Manchester on Nov. 3, 1920, she was the eldest child of Aime and Yvonne (Desmarais) Hebert. She was a permanent resident of the city and attended St. Anthony High School. She was also a lifelong communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the Union of the Precious Blood where she attended daily Mass for many years. Mrs. Taillon is predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Henry Paul Taillon, her first infant son Paul Taillon, and two sisters, Constance Pinard Mandeville and Estelle Moses.
She was a devoted mother to her six children, Raymond Taillon and his wife Sandra of Nicholson, GA, Frances Wurtele of Manchester, Annette Carlson and her husband James of Chicopee, MA, Elaine Doerfler of Hooksett, Michele Dager and her husband Nick of Litchfield, and Patricia Mynczywor and her husband Steven of Auburn. In addition to her children, family members include 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Roger Hebert; two sisters, Doris Gagnon and Lorraine Helie and her husband Jean; and many in-laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Rita pursued many hobbies, such as gardening, canning and preserving, sewing, and knitting. She took pride in cooking and baking for her family. She will be most remembered though for her unquestionable love for her family and her Christian faith.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM. There will be a private funeral service followed by burial at Mt.
