Robert U. Arel

ROBERT U. AREL Robert U. Arel, 71, of Candia, NH, died January 24, 2007, at the Hospice House, in Concord, NH. Mr. Arel was born on July 20, 1935, in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Laurier and Lucille (Gaudette) Arel. He was a resident of Candia for the past 35 years. Prior to this, he resided in Manchester. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Arel was employed as a fork lift operator, for 28 years, at Osram Sylvania. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Arel enjoyed woodworking, ATV’s, motorcycling, fishing and hunting. Members of his family include, his wife of 35 years, Dolores A. (Hebert) Arel, of Candia; 4 daughters, Susan Ratliff, of Methuen, MA; Linda Davis of Hooksett; Judy Sevigny of Allenstown; Karen Lazott, of New Boston; 4 step sons, Robert Rousseau, Jr., of Candia; Felix Rousseau of Goffstown; Richard Rousseau of Candia; David Rousseau of Raymond; 3 step daughters, Doris Brideau, of Manchester; Marie Sullivan of Auburn; Shirley Lambert of Northwood; 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Paulette Pouliot, of Manchester; Marcelle Bernier of Virginia Beach, VA; Denise DeBrou, of Saskatchewan, many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, January 26, from 2 – 4 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 4 P.M. Committal prayers and burial will take place on Saturday, 10 A.M. at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum Chapel. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Mr. Arel.
