Robert Barriere

Robert Barriere, 91, of Manchester, passed away on January 8, 2022. He is the loving husband of Jacqueline (Cote) Barriere with whom he would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in September.

Robert was born in Stoke Quebec, Canada to the late Emile and Agnes (Dubrieaul) Barriere on April 17, 1930 where he spent his former years before moving to New Hampshire.

Robert was a man of the outdoors; he was an avid fisherman and hunter. When he wasn’t outside chopping wood for his stove, he was playing cards with his family or canning tomatoes from his garden with his wife. He adored his family and the time spent with them.

Along with his wife Jacqueline, Robert is survived by his three children; Micheline Turcotte and her husband Serge of Bath, Nelson Barriere and his wife Christianne of Dunbarton, and Doris Weaver and her husband Jim of Weare, his grandchildren; Cassidy Barriere and his wife Kera, Jeremy Barriere, Cody Barriere, Robert Barriere and his wife Jennifer, Matthew Barriere and his wife Torrie, Shane Barriere and his wife Nicole, Phylicia Chabot and her husband Jacob, and Alex Weaver, his daughter-in-law Elaine Barriere, 11 great grandchildren, siblings; Yvette Boutin and Dennis Barriere both of Canada, and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his son Charles Barriere in June of 2021 and siblings; Isabelle, Gaston, Hector, Monique, Clement, Leo, Jean-Guy, and Maurice.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 15th from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A memorial service will be begin at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend and enjoy food and refreshments following services.
