ROBERT E. BRUNO
MONROE, NH â Robert E. Bruno, 63, passed at his home on Saturday, July 23rd after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Glens Falls, New York, October 21st, 1952 to Robert and Doris (Wickman) Bruno. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1971, serving in Vietnam with the 57th Military Police, and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for his actions. Honorably discharged, he returned home and attended Adirondack Community College pursuing a degree in Police Science. He served 28 years with the New Hampshire State Police, retiring as a Detective Sergeant assigned to Troop F in Twin Mountain, NH.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanne Bruno, his son, Michael, daughter Katie and son-in-law, Ivan Wilmot; two granddaughters, Drew Mia Wilmot and Charlie Ann Bruno; two sisters, Lynn Dunham of Speculator, NY and Susan Bruno of Queensbury, NY, as well as brother-in-law, Donald Carducci of Depew, NY, and his mother-in-law, Elda Carducci of Camillus, NY.
SERVICES â Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 29th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home, located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the All Saints' Episcopal Church in Littleton.
In lieu of flowers, Rob requested donations be made to the DAV, Box 828, White River Junction, VT 05001, with a memo "use for helping veterans" or to All Saints' Episcopal Church, 35 School Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
