Robert E. Case, 84, of Manchester, NH, passed away on July 16, 2026 at home in his sleep. He had been diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera, which is a blood disorder. He had been receiving blood transfusions at the Dana Farber Institute in Londonderry, NH over the last year.

Robert was born on March 12, 1942 to the late Walter and Hilda (Norman) Case in Gardner, MA. Their family relocated to Concord, NH and he graduated from Concord High School in 1959. Robert entered the United States Air Force in 1960 and was honorably discharged. He later started his 38 year long career at Public Service of NH, now known as N.E. Utilities. After retirement, he worked part time at Aubin Hardware (now known as Ace Hardware) for ten years and spent some time as a school bus driver.

Robert leaves behind his wife, Janet Soucy of Manchester; their three children, Samantha Williams (Case) and her husband Christopher of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Sean Case and his wife Krista of Hampton, NH, and their youngest son, Matthew Case of Manchester; his three grandchildren, Adrianna Kimball and Harper and Brooke Williams; as well as other extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 22 from 5PM-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 23 at 9AM at Ste. Marie Parish, 378 Notre Dame Ave, Manchester, NH. Burial at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery will be private.
