Robert A. Chatel, 72, of 73 Lynchville Park Road, Goffstown, died January 27, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center., He was born in Manchester on August 12, 1930, the son of George and Eva (Roberts) Chatel and had been a lifelong resident of the Manchester and Goffstown Communities. He was a US Marine Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was in the Naval CB reserves, was a mechanic with Liberty International for 18 years, was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Council 5112, and belonged to the League of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood. Mr. Chatel was an avid bingo player and card player. He belonged to the Smile Center. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Germaine (Gosselin) Chatel of Goffstown, four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Marie) Green, Jeanine L. Chatel, Diane Lavallee and Mrs. Michael (Michelle) McVey, all of Manchester, nine grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Adrien (Pauline) Petrin, Sr., of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Wednesday 8:30 to 10:30 AM with his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 o'clock in the Church of Transfiguration.
