Candia, NH

Robert Lionel Corbeil, Jr, 75, of Candia, passed away on September 8, 2023, at Elliot Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Long Branch, NJ, he is the son of the late Robert L. Corbeil, Sr., and Mae (McGrady) Corbeil. During his youth, the Corbeil family lived in several places in the United States due to his father’s military career. For over 30 years, Bob worked as a manager for Digital Equipment Corporation. In his early years with the company, Bob worked in the Massachusetts location, where he met his wife, Deborah (Becker). Later, the couple was transferred to the Salem, NH branch. They settled in Candia, New Hampshire, where they lovingly raised their children and grandchildren.

A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Bob’s family was paramount in his life. He devoted his time and talents to all the members of his beautifully blended family. Known for his love of socializing, Bob quickly made friends with all the people he crossed paths with. Close family and friends affectionately called Bob, “The Legend”, for his uncanny ability to overcome any ailment or injury. An avid sports fan, Bob enjoyed watching the Boston sports teams. On sunny days, Bob relished a long cast of his fishing rod and watching the hummingbirds zip around his garden. Bob will be best remembered for his sense of humor, irresistible charm, and love of family.

Bob is survived by his cherished wife, Deborah Corbeil, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage; two sons, Robert Corbeil of Boston, MA and Derek Corbeil of Candia, NH; three daughters, Dawn Corbeil Smith and husband Steven of Goffstown, Donna Perez and husband Frank of Manchester, and Robin Holt and husband Anthony of Raymond; six grandchildren, Emily Torres, Shelbie Rouse, Nicole Conway, Ebony McClowsky, Zachary Corbeil, and Nathan Holt; seven great grandchildren; his in-laws, Rose and Fred Becker who were like his own parents; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his three siblings, Linda St. Jean, James Corbeil, and Cheryl Corbeil.
